Advent I Evensong with Organ Recital

Erik Kenyon is a graduate of UVM (BA, MA) where he studied Philosophy, Classics and Music, and served as organist at Grace Episcopal Church in Sheldon. During his tenure there, he oversaw the restoration of the parish’s historically significant (1833) Henry Erben instrument. He holds a PhD in Classics from Cornell University, where he also studied organ with Annette Richards. He came to Florida in 2012 to take a job at Rollins College, where he teaches Classics & Philosophy and serves as Director of Student & Faculty Engagement for the Hamilton Holt School. He is the author of books on Augustine and the Dialogue and, with Sharon Carnahan and Diane Terorde-Doyle, Ethics for the Very Young. He is an active member of Emmanuel, and frequently assists in our music program as organist or singer. His program will include works of Bohm, Mendelssohn, Langlais and J.S. Bach.
